How to choose the ideal wall light

By room

Living room: Warm light (2,700–3,000 K), as accent or ambient lighting complementing the general illumination.
Bedroom: On both sides of the headboard, at 140–160 cm from the floor, ideally with dimmable light.
Hallway: At around 180 cm height to illuminate without glare in passageways.
Reading area: Articulated or directional wall lights that allow you to orient the beam.

By material and style

Metal, blown glass, natural wood, alabaster, ceramic, brass. The material influences both the aesthetics and the quality and temperature of the emitted light.

By technology

Integrated LED with dimming (TRIAC, DALI, Push) or standard E27/E14 sockets. Check the technical sheet of each product.

FAQs - Frequently asked questions about Wall Lights

At what height should a wall light be installed?

It depends on the use. In passageways, between 180 and 200 cm from the floor. At bed headboards, between 140 and 160 cm. In living rooms as accent lighting, between 150 and 170 cm.

Do wall lights require a fixed electrical installation?

Most do require connection to the wall's electrical installation. Some models with a plug-in cable or rechargeable battery allow installation without works, but these are the exception.

Can wall lights be installed outdoors?

Only if the model has an adequate IP protection rating. For sheltered outdoor areas a minimum of IP44, for more exposed areas IP65 or higher. Check our outdoor wall lights section.

Are designer wall lights compatible with a dimmer?

It depends on the model and light source. Wall lights with dimmable integrated LED are compatible with TRIAC, DALI or Push dimmers. We always indicate compatibility in the technical sheet.

Can I install a wall light without making holes in the wall?

If the wall light has a plug-in cable, yes. Some manufacturers offer this option specifically. If you have doubts about a specific model, contact us.
