A-emotional light is a Spanish decorative lighting brand founded in 1994 in Galicia by designer Arturo Álvarez, built on a radically artisanal approach: every luminaire is made entirely by hand in the brand's Galician workshop, using unique materials — above all hand-painted stainless steel mesh — shaped into organic forms inspired by the nature surrounding its designers: the sea, forests and beaches of north-western Spain. Each piece is individually numbered and identified, giving it a sculptural presence that transforms any space. Since 2020 the brand has been led by Marcos Rioseco and Miguel Martínez, who carry on the artisanal legacy with the same guiding philosophy: light as a medium for evoking emotion, just as music or art.

The catalogue brings nature indoors through a series of distinctive collections. Mytilus, designed by Arturo Álvarez, draws inspiration from the moving seabed — waves, currents and circular, organic forms — and stands as one of the brand's most iconic pieces. Coral, also by Arturo Álvarez, recreates the beauty of coral reefs in warm, enveloping luminaires. Nevo, awarded at Design Shanghai, is a cloud of organic curves and impossible volumes crafted in steel mesh. Agasallo — meaning "gift" in Galician — is the collection Héctor Serrano designed for the brand: its moulded, hand-painted forms produce unique light effects that project into the space and create singular atmospheres. The brand's work can be found in Hyatt, Marriott and Pullman hotels, in offices such as Google and Spotify, and in Michelin-starred restaurants worldwide.
