Santa & Cole is a design products editor founded in 1985 in Barcelona by Nina Masó, Javier Nieto Santa and Gabriel Ordeig Cole, headquartered at Parc de Belloch (La Roca del Vallès). Its business model mirrors that of a literary publisher applied to objects: it selects designer pieces, produces them through a trusted network of suppliers — primarily Spanish, with exceptions such as the Japanese washi paper used in the Tekiò lamp — and protects the intellectual property of its authors. More than 80 designers have contributed to its catalogue, including Miguel Milá, Antoni Arola, André Ricard and Imari Tapiovaara. It distributes in more than 85 countries and has galleries in Barcelona and Mexico City. Awards include the Spanish National Design Award (1999) and the Príncipe Felipe Awards for Business Excellence (2006–2007).
Santa & Cole was born lighting the legendary bars of 1980s Barcelona nightlife with natural materials — wood, sewn card, ribbons — as an alternative to the cold halogen light of the time. In the 1990s, with post-Olympic Barcelona, it created large-format lamps such as Estadio and Moaré. Its most iconic pieces include the Cesta and Cestita by Miguel Milá (1962), the TMM (1961), the Tatu by André Ricard (1972), the Sylvestrina by Antoni Arola and the Tekiò with Japanese washi paper and Warm to Dim LED technology. From 1989 it began recovering historical designs by Antoni Gaudí and Lluís Domènech i Montaner.

Santa & Cole is a Spanish design publisher founded in Barcelona in 1985 by Nina Masó, Javier Nieto Santa and Gabriel Ordeig Cole. Based at Parc de Belloch (Sant Julià de Llor i Bonmatí, Girona), the brand is not a conventional manufacturer but a publisher of well-designed objects: it selects, produces and distributes pieces with curatorial intent, in collaboration with more than 80 designers worldwide. Its products are distributed in more than 85 countries and the brand received the Spanish National Design Award in 1999.
Santa & Cole's catalogue includes pieces that are absolute references of Spanish and international design. Cesta and Cestita by Miguel Milà (1962), with their characteristic bamboo handle, are the most recognised. TMM by Miguel Milà (1961), a floor lamp with a parchment shade, is a classic of Spanish modernism. Tatu by André Ricard (1972). Sylvestrina by Gemma Bernal and Ramón Isern. Tekiò by Antoni Arola, with a Japanese washi paper shade and Warm to Dim dimming technology that transitions from 3000K to 1800K when dimmed.
Yes. Santa & Cole is the custodian and publisher of landmark pieces from Spanish design heritage. Since 1989 it has produced street furniture and luminaires by Antoni Gaudí and Lluís Domènech i Montaner, helping to preserve and promote the Catalan Modernisme legacy. It also publishes the work of Miguel Milà, a pioneer of industrial design in Spain, including the Cesta (1962), the TMM (1961) and the Charme (2014).
Santa & Cole is particularly suited to high-end residential projects, boutique hotels, restaurants and cultural spaces where consistency between design and values matters. Its street furniture line — lamp posts, benches, bins — is a worldwide reference in public architecture and urban landscaping. The scale of its collections ranges from table lamps to the illumination of large public spaces.
